While AJ was at Elder's Quorum meetings on Sunday, I made my very first pumpkin pie! Crust from scratch and all. Very exciting. I decided to let Walter try it, as he always wants our food, and we can give him vegetables anyway, but I have been too busy to really do it. Anyway, I gave him a tiny little bit. He stopped moving, and was completely stunned. I figured it was because the pie was from the fridge and it was really cold. Then he started gagging really bad, gave a shudder that went from his head to his toes, and barfed sour milk over both of us. AJ couldn't stop laughing.
So, question-- Is this normal? After I got all insulted about my pie, we tried other things, that are actually meant for babies. He hates them all. He will eat a ton of oatmeal or rice cereal, so yesterday after he hated a mashed up banana, we mixed it with the oatmeal, and it went over better. It even took a while to get him to eat the oatmeal, since he figured it was still just banana. We also have one of those mesh things, that you can put soft food in, and they can chew it through the mesh. He won't let it even touch his lips. This is the kid that will happily chew on the bottom of your dirty shoe, so I don't get it.
Here is a picture of him when he first started eating cereal. Notice how great his scar looks.
