2
Ah, the joys of a two year old who is refusing to take naps.
He wouldn't calm down until we let him lick at the frosting.
One fingerful at a time.
Books, books. His favorite.
Lars is quite the kid. It is hard for me to believe that he is just now turning two. I have been thinking of him as two since May, probably. He talks so much better than Walter did at this age, and knew all the ABCs by the time he was 18 months old; I get a little confused. I was working on teaching them both to read when I had Marian, but let's just say that has fallen by the wayside. When he started going to nursery he startled his teachers by pointing out the letters in the announcements on the chalkboard.
However, his behavior as of late is reminding me that this is actually the time. I'm trying to think of a nice way to say that he is really annoying but I can't seem to think of anything. He is a big tease, and is very physical. He enjoys viciously pinching, taking things and running away laughing, and standing in front of the Kinect sensor when Walter is trying to play. At least he can be hilarious, and is very talkative. It's nice to have another person that can tell me why one of them is crying, as Walter's default answer has become, "I don't know." Suspicious. Lars is very quick to run and get a towel when water has spilled on the carpet, loves to kiss Marian, and beg for graham crackers.
He requested a SALT cake, but had to settle for chocolate. I hope it worked out for him.

Windy
I asked Walter why he did his hair all weird like this. He told me it was "windy." We should have the fan in the bathroom checked out.

Pizza
See-food! That reminds me of a story about Raquel...
The first time we were successful making pizza at home.

Hectic Halloween
We are so behind on everything right now. Completely unprepared for Halloween. Luckily we grew a bunch of pumpkins in our garden. I carved two during breakfast. P.S. I am posting a million pictures because I am too tired to figure out which I like best.
So then in the afternoon I went and bought fabric for their costumes. Meanwhile, AJ was making the cornbread that he committed to bringing to the ward party. (He made the chili the night before. These kind of commitments are what happen when I am not at church to stop him. At least he dealt with it himself.)
We were of course late to the party and didn't get pictures of the kids before we left. Bummer. Here is Lars at the party:
And then we tried to get pictures when we got home. Not the same. The kids were wound up and exhausted. Oh, well. I had plans to take pictures the next day and recreate it, but you can guess how far that plan got.
I hope Marian can forgive me for posting a bunch of stupid looking pictures.
You got me. This last picture isn't Marian.

Three Kids
When Lars came to have his picture taken as well, Walter exclaimed, "Three kids!" That about sums it up. TIRING.

Sink Bath
Where would I be without my knight in shining armor? Bathing babies by myself, I guess.
I swear her arms didn't look purple in person.

Excited Visitors
Walter is so excited. All day long he talked to my mom about how Baby Marian is out and he loves her so much.
Lars calls her Mare-Mare and is very eager to hold her, put her hat back on, and shove a binky in her mouth. Also, this window looked directly onto the hospital's helicopter pad, so that was exciting for the boys as well.
