Oddly, he is best at the "shoulders" part of Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.

BYUI Gardens, Day 1

I really need to brush up and improve my basic photography knowledge and relearn how to use all the manual stuff on my camera. I was messing with the shutter speed and depth of field and stuff trying to figure things out.

In my quest for knowledge, I rented a book at the library on photographing children. I am including this picture of Walter because it shows him moving towards me. Sadly, I did not get a picture of the next few moments: Walter grabbing the library book and throwing it to the bottom of the water pond. Or a picture of AJ up to his armpit in pond-water fishing it out. The book really should have warned me about something like that happening. Whoopsie.

Porter Park

Porter Park is really great. It is an entire city block, and Walter goes crazy the second that he glimpses the swings. We found the apartment that we will settle down in (for the near future) and one of my favorite things about it is that it is about kitty-corner to this park. Also, is it August? Because I am FREEZING here.

The Curious Incident of Poop in the Bathtub

So after a week in IDAHO, the first picture we got was the kitchen-sink-aftermath from the Poop in the Bathtub Incident. Sorry folks.

This last week has been eventful. There was/is a lot of moving, mess, boxes, family, and permanent house-hunting. We stood in the parking lot under an umbrella to watch a spectacular lightning storm, got library cards, bought fresh sweet corn, nectarines, and sunflower shoots at the local farmer's market, went to the park almost every day, got locked out because management gave us the wrong key, were told by a neighbor that a credit card gets you in just fine, watched mysterious water come up from the carpet to soak our boxes, and we got to eat lunch with AJ every day now that he is working from home!
