Big thanks to Steph for taking us with her to the zoo!  It was perfect weather and a lot of fun.

Birthday Day 2

I am so sad this is blurry!  But I posted it anyway.  Sorry everyone.

He requested that Maria decorate a chocolate cake for him.  Also note the real wooden bat that my dad made for the boys.  Cool, eh?

My mom made the boys super-cute reversible capes.  Good thing that he doesn't know who Little Red Riding Hood is, not that he would have any problem with pretending to be her.

Here is Lars pretending to ride the bat.  He loves pretending to ride a horse.  Some things make sense, kind of, like the vacuum hose, but he will use whatever is at hand, like a piece of paper.

Walter has been extremely excited about his birthday for over a month.  However, we don't have lots of pictures because we started out our big trip the day before his birthday.  Here we are in Rigby, with the Miskin clan.  Hanalorraine gave him this... obviously a huge hit.

A New Face

I won't make you wait for it... this GIRL's head looks so big that I think she might end up being a mad scientist or something.  (These 3D images are freaky!  The doctor told me that originally they were supposed to make women feel reassured but that it scared some women and gave them nightmares.  haha, anyway...)

She weighs less than a pound now but I still found myself being grateful for the knowledge that I am not pushing any more babies out of my bits.

 

 

 

Oh, yeah.  I'm 20 weeks now, with an official due date of Oct 2.  However, thanks to having a c-section, it's really more like the last week of September.  Feel free to count down with me.

Soaked

This is what happens when I let Lars hold the hose and fill the pool by himself.  He had a lot more fun soaking himself than he did waiting for me to take twenty pictures.

 

Good thing my kids didn't inherit my skin tone, because Walter really likes to lay out. (Yes, he has sunscreen on!)

 Unfortunately for him, Lars really enjoys making Walter squeal.  Look at this face!

And then right before bedtime Walter comes running in our room to inform us that freshly-bathed Lars is in the pool in his pajamas.  Awesome.  We go through so many outfit changes with this kid when there is water around.
