25 Months Old

We had a little cupcake party a month late for Walter's birthday. Fun cupcakes with a chocolate cake for the adults. Yum!

Walter is really starting to talk more lately. In the morning we hear, "Mom? Da? WhereAREyou?" which is fun as it's one of the only phrases that he uses. We also hear a lot of "No" and "Stop". Like when I asked him, "What do you want to do this summer?", "No!". Oh, well. He's 2! He also says "Mee" for Please and "Tae Ooo" for Thank You, which he is extremely good about. He is usually conscientious about saying "Eee Shee" after passing gas, etc. (It doesn't matter if it was him or not. He once said it after seeing a horse sneeze.)

He is super friendly and runs up to EVERYONE to give them a hug and is obsessed with doing hair. Like, not pulling it, but if you have hair at least shoulder length, he may dictate where you sit so that that he can smooth it and push it from side to side, or in your face, or wherever he deems best. He is also very fond of The Sound of Music, and sings along with many of the songs. Most of the words aren't recognizable, but he has the cadence (if that's the word I want) down well enough you can tell that he knows the song in between intelligible words.

I know I'm not great about posting the fun things he does, but he makes us laugh all the time. Happy 25 Month Birthday, Walter!
